| Join us for a discussion on contemporary art making with invited speakers and exhibiting artists Thomas Germano, Maria Molteni, and Vincent Stracquadanio. Presented in conjunction with New Practices in Italian American and Italian Diasporic Contemporary Art, their practice spans installation, video, objects, and painting, engaging questions of identity and the Italian diaspora. Drawing on a shared vocabulary that includes modernism, the classical traditions of the Italian academy, and contemporary media, the artists explore memory, place, ritual, and devotion, connecting past and present.
